A multimedia exhibition featuring the seven themes of the 125th Anniversary programmes will be staged in different areas of Hong Kong during different times of the year, to showcase the Club's 125-year history and major contributions to the community.
The exhibition will be divided into three zones: Walking along the Skyline, Racing Ahead for You Databank and The 120-degree Curved Screen Theatre.
- Walking along the Skyline: Showcasing the evolution and parallel development of the Club and Hong Kong during six different periods of' the city's history, a series of short videos will be displayed on a collage of the Hong Kong skyline, transitioning from 1884 to the modern era.
- Racing Ahead for You Databank: Stories under the seven 125th Anniversary themes will be displayed in an interactive 'now and then' format to feature the Club's community and charity contributions past and the present, as well as its efforts to promote racing as a sport and entertainment.
- The 120-degree Curved Screen Theatre: A special HKJC 125th Anniversary video including endorsements from celebrities and other people from all walks of life.

From 15 September 2009 to late July 2010, a selection of historic exhibits and photos dating back to the 19th century will be displayed at The Hong Kong Racing Museum. They will illustrate the Club's evolution and development and its horse racing history, as well as its long tradition of giving back to the community through charitable donations that touch every resident of Hong Kong.

On season opening day, 13 September, HKSAR Chief Executive The Hon Donald Tsang will join the Club's Chairman, Stewards and Chief Executive Officer to launch the new season and the 125th Anniversary. To mark the Club's 125th Anniversary, an unprecedented 125 lions will participate in the lion dance, creating a truly spectacular welcome to the new season. A HKJC 125th Anniversary video will be shown to highlight the Club's development and contributions and underline how the Club has always ben there to support Hong Kong people.

Racegoers will receive the 2009/10 Racing Calendar as a free door gift upon admission to Sha Tin Racecourse before the start of Race 6, while stocks last. The stylish calendar makes an excellent companion for the new season, either mounted on the wall or placed on desktops at home or in the office.

A commemorative sweepstakes will be launched to stimulate public interest in the Anniversary, recalling popular sweepstakes of the past. The sweepstakes certificates will feature Hong Kong's equine heroes and Club's major charitable and community projects will be issued.

The curtain is about to be raised for the 125th Anniversary Cup at the Sha Tin Racecourse. As a prelude to this historic event kicking off on November 15th, Happy Valley Racecourse is traveling back in time with Classics Wednesday with a series of classics-inspired happenings on November 11th to get the crowd ready for the big day!

The race meeting at Sha Tin on 15 November 2009 will be designated as the 125th Anniversary Raceday, with the 125th Anniversary Cup as one of the feature races. To commemorate the 125th Anniversary, a citywide community engagement programme, the "Hong Kong Can Do Campaign" is being organised to call on Hong Kong people to exercise regularly, and spread a sense of positive energy in times of health scares and economic woes.
Ten messages of positive living are encapsulated in the ten routines of the Hong Kong Can Do exercise, designed by Wing Chun Master Ip Chun, to promote a healthy lifestyle among people of Hong Kong.
The Club's CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team members will be joined by members of the Hong Kong Wing Chun Union to pass on this healthy message and promote the exercise to NGOs in different districts. Celebrities and other community members are invited to give talks on how to lead a happy life and overcome adversity.
