5.  Busan I’Park (6) vs Daejeon Citizen (13)

Hosts looking to continue solid season

Busan are going very well and have defeated the top two teams in the league in the last week without conceding any goals – a hugely impressive achievement.

I’Park worked so hard in winning 1-0 at Gyeongnam in midweek and really defended from the front. They were rewarded by a goal in the second half and they defended like their lives depended on it. It was the first game in nine that Gyeongnam had failed to score and represents their first home defeat of the season.

Striker Jung Sung-hoon was injured and lasted just the first half however. The target man may struggle to make the pitch this weekend but fans will hope that he starts as he is vital to the team’s success. But good news is the fact that Han Sang-woon has now scored in his last two games.

Midfielder Seo Dong-won will also be out injured.

Busan are a little unpredictable at home however and have won three and lost two of their five games so far.

Daejeon were a little unlucky at Suwon, though their goalkeeper saved a penalty. They were the better team for much of the match but will really miss the star striker Koh Chang-hyun who is suspended for this game.

The return of midfielder Kwon-jip will not make up for that loss.

Midfielder Hwang Jin-son has not yet recovered and will be absent.

Head to head, honours have been split over the year with Busan and Daejeon winning two of the last six meetings and drawing the other two.

Form points to a Busan win and another good result.
