MATCH
PREVIEW
Leeds never dreamed that their hopes of automatic promotion would
rest on their final game of the season but after the way they imploded at the
start of 2010, they will be grateful to have a chance to clinch it on their
home ground.
Although
they have still not recovered their best form, they have won four of their last
six games and put up a good effort at Charlton last weekend before losing to a
late goal. Now they have one last chance against a Bristol side who have
taken just one point from their last five games, a goalless draw at home to Brentford.
Rovers have
also lost four of their last five away games and look like a side who are just waiting for the final whistle of the season to
blow. They have had a good season but never really looked like forcing their
way into the playoffs.
Leeds hope their fans will sing them home but their supporters
have also been highly critical of them this season and booed star striker Jermaine Beckford when he was
substituted recently. They are likely to be highly nervous for this one but if Leeds get an early goal,
everyone in the ground will settle down and we could all be left wondering what
all the fuss was about. It is not easy predicting Leeds’
form but they should be able to win this and take their place in the
Championship.
HEAD TO
HEAD
Leeds have never lost at home to Bristol
Rovers in eight matches, one of them in the FA Cup.
Three of
the last four league matches at Elland Road have ended in
draws.
