1.  Avai (9) vs Fluminense (3)
Avai’s squad worn and torn

TEAM NEWS

Avai had a pretty decent start to the season, but recently saw a downhill trend. Coach Pericles Chamusca blamed it on the thin squad they have.

Midweek they were beaten by Cerea 0-2, and been winless and goalless for three. Their boss again blamed it on something - the referee’s calls.

The Florianopoils side continues to have a thin squad with defender Patric and midfield Marcinho Guerreiro suspended, each with 3 yellows. Plus Rafael and Caio are injured.

Fluminense have improved a lot this season under coach Muricy Ramalho this season.

Captain Fred has scored in each of the last two games. Ramalho will continue to put him in big roles.

Midweek, Flu beat Vitoria 2-1, putting them on a 3-game winning streak.
