The team managed by Luis Zubeldia has good reasons to be hopeful. Attacking midfielder Sebastian Blanco is in great form and has been named to the World Cup provisional squad. His playmaking skills and the good form of Paraguayan striker Santiago Salcedo have been very important for Lanus.

Independiente need a good result for their supporters, but Lanus are on a roll. This could be a draw.
