15/1 First leg of HK Speed Series - Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup
The Centenary Sprint Cup was originally known as the Centenary Cup, which was first run on 24 November 1984 to celebrate the centenary of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and has been programmed as the first leg of the Hong Kong Speed Series (formerly the Champion Sprint Series) since the 2005/06 season. This year, the HK$4.5 million Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup (1000m, HK G1), will be run on 15 January 2012 at Sha Tin Racecourse.
Last year, Sacred Kingdom confirmed his status as a top sprinter in the first leg of the Speed Series by winning the Kent & Curwen Centenary Sprint Cup.
